Thevillage of Grolloo lies centrally in the province Drenthe, about 10 km southeast of Assen. On the N33 from Assen you follow the direction Veendam and take the exit Rolde/Grolloo. Coming from the direction of Emmen you go via Schoonoord and Schoonloo in the direction of Grolloo.
In Grolloo at the roundabout you take the first turn to the right and will arrive in the Hoofdstraat. In the village you'll find signs that show you the way to ‘Het Tegenlicht'.

Travellers by public transport can take bus 21 from Assen and get of in Grolloo.
